I’m a firm believer that choosing the right school for your child involves much more than comparing rankings on a table.

While it’s easy to assess schools using numbers such as ATAR results and academic rankings, these figures tell only part of the story. The qualities that make a good school truly good – its culture, values, educational philosophy and sense of community – are harder to measure, but no less important when looking for the right fit.

You can never completely understand a school until your child becomes part of it. The next best thing is to listen to the people who know it from the inside: former students reflecting on their experiences, current parents sharing what school life is really like, and principals explaining the thinking, values and vision that shape their school.
